We are committed to open science and we believe that it is the key to ensure the reproducibility of experiments. That is why we strongly recommend submitting data to public repositories such as the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA) or the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). Moreover, data submission to databases is now a requirement of many journals for the publication of scientific articles.
We are not able to keep data from all projects performed permanently and we keep raw data and results during 4 months after finishing the analysis. Nevertheless, we belong to the submission broker network at ENA repository. The role of a “broker” is to provide tools, services and/or infrastructure to submit data from end-users to ENA.
Why should you choose us as brokers to submit your data?
-
- As a Facility, we ensure that an expert is keeping track of your data.
- We have experience in personal contact with database workers and possible issues with submission could be faster to resolve.
- You will be reminded by email at 15 days prior to release data automatically to keep the data confidential for more time, if necessary.
