The Service has three of these devices, located at the second floor, room 264. These are devices designed to carry out PCR and RT-PCR tests in real time by using different types of fluorescent labels. They have a blue light emitting diode at 470 nm and three signal detector channels at 530 nm (green), 640 nm (red) and 710 nm (red). The reactions are carried out in glass capillaries (up to a maximum of 32 per race) and their evolution can be followed on the computer screen at the same time they take place.
